Ingredients
- 1/8-1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme or 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2-28 oz. cans of whole tomatoes
Steps
- Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat
- Sauté the onions and garlic until the onion is soft but not browned
- Add the tomatoes, just crushing them slightly in your hands
- Add the rest of the ingredients
- Simmer for 1 hour
