"Scrambled Tofu"


 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh, firm tofu
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. chicken-style seasoning
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. fresh or dried parsley
  • 2 Tbs. nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. turmeric
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • salt to taste

Steps

  • Sauté onion and red pepper in a small amount of water.
  • Drain tofu thoroughly in a colander or squeeze out excess water with hands.
  • Crumble tofu into fine pieces into the skillet.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer until liquid is evaporated and flavors are blended.
