"Oven Baked Rice"


 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 4 – 5 cups water
  • 1 tsp. salt

Steps

  • Place rice, water, and salt in a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

    HINT:

  • For a nutty flavor toast, uncooked rice in a dry skillet 5 minutes or more, stirring constantly, until a few grains begin to “pop”.
  • The rice will begin to give off a pleasant aroma.
  • Remove immediately from skillet as it will burn very quickly!
  • Proceed with cooking as usual.
