Wash the outside of the pineapple and pat dry. Cut it in half length way. Save the ends.
Place one half of the pineapple face down on a platter. Cut the other half into bite size chunks.
Cut the bananas and apples into chunks, drizzle with lemon juice to keep them from turning dark.
Place fruit chunks on the skewers alternating between the apples, bananas and grapes. Repeating the steps until you are about 3 inches from the end.
Turn the skewer and place a cherry on the top of the flat end and place the sharp end into the pineapple.
Continue filling the skewers until you have enough on your pineapple.
Place the leaves of the pineapple on each end of the pineapple that is on the platter for a decoration.
Now you have an edible centerpiece that children love for breakfast or a party!
HINT: If you plan for a larger party, add more fruit so you will have one skewer per person. Other fruit could be watermelon, strawberries, melons, etc.
