"Carob Sauce"


 

Into a sauce pan add:

  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ cup dates [make sure there are no pits]
  • 3 Tab. carob powder

When dates are soft, and carob mixture looks glossy pour into blender, add

  • 1 Tab. natural peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. coffee substitute [Roma]

Blend all until smooth Pour into a bowl. Will thicken as it cools.

This is wonderful poured over soy ice cream for a different version of the "Hot Fudge Sundae".

Also, try dipping strawberries into the sauce for a beautiful presentation.
