"Berry Fruit Sauce"


 

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen mixed berries [or your choice berry]
  • 1 - 16oz. can frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ cup cornstarch dissolved in ½ cup water [set aside]

Steps

  • Place frozen fruit, apple juice, and 2 cups water in a kettle.
  • Place over high heat until just beginning to boil. Remove from heat.
  • Be careful not to overcook, especially the blueberries.
  • Slowly stir in the cornstarch until it thickens.
  • Return to heat and stir until it just starts to boil.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot or cold over waffles or French toast.
