8 Laws of Health / Sunlight
“Sunshine on my shoulders, makes me happy..” Remember that line from the John Denver song? Well, it’s true. Sunshine does make us happy. If you have ever lived where there is a lack of sunshine you may have known of someone with the “winter blues”. Exposure to sunlight promotes energy, alertness, and it helps to set our internal “body clock” by regulating hormones, sleep patterns, mood, and even our appetites. It is also a major source of vitamin D which we all know is essential for healthy bones. So don’t be afraid of the sun. We have all heard the bad news about sun damage, however, being wise about getting a small amount each day will greatly improve your health all the way around. Remember, “It makes me happy!”
