Did you know that the average American gets 20% less sleep than his or her counterpart did a century ago?. However, sleep is one of the best ways to restore our body’s health. It is alarming to realize that Americans consume about 600 tons of sleeping pills a year! How can we change that you say. Here are some tips: 1) Try not to eat before going to bed. It disturbs the quality of sleep. 2) Remove the television from your bedroom. Depressing or exciting shows again decreases the quality of sleep. 3) Don’t use your bedroom for work [computer]. Your body and brain see it as a work environment, not a place to rest. 4) Avoid having any alcohol. This disturbs the latter part of the night’s sleep and reduces it. 5) Establish a bedtime ritual. Before 10:00 p.m. is the best habit to start. As we all know, the better the sleep, the better the next day will be!
